Loop System

A loop system ensures that interfering background noises are filtered out for people with a hearing aid. By switching their hearing aid to the T position, they can better enjoy a concert. Intro, together with the firm Veranneman, provides loop systems for several events.
For those interested in the more technical side of the matter, a short explanation: The sound transmitted through the speakers and amplifier is transformed into electromagnetic waves. These electromagnetic waves are then translated back into sound by a hearing aid (in T position). This way you no longer hear the annoying background noises, only the relevant music.

Sound Chair

Together with Pioneer, Intro launches the Sound Chair in Flanders. The system is composed of a big pillow that can be placed in a chair. That pillow transforms sound into vibrations. This way we can make music a tactile experience for the hearing impaired. In combination with translation in Flemish sign language, this ensures that not only the content of the music, but also the sensation is transferred.

Interpreters of Flemish Sign Language

At several events interpreters of Flemish sign language are present to act as interpreters for the hearing impaired. They are also often present at the entrance to welcome the deaf and to help them to find their way.
